Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Cadoo Team ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Cadoo mobile application and related services (the "Services").

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, do not use the Services.

1) Age Requirement (17+)

The Services are intended for users who are 17 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 17. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

2) Information We Collect

  • Account information: name, username, email address
  • Customer support: messages you send to us (including attachments, if any)
Information collected automatically
  • Device information: model, OS version, language, app version, necessary identifiers
  • Usage data: interactions, feature usage, performance metrics
  • Crash and diagnostics data: crash logs and error reports
Location (only with permission) Approximate or precise location if you enable location permissions. You can disable location access in your device settings.
Photos and media Access to photos/media or camera to select images to convert, resize, or enhance. By default, images are processed on-device and stored locally unless you choose server-side processing.

We do not perform facial recognition or biometric identification, and we do not create biometric templates.

3) Cookies and Similar Technologies

If the Services include web-based components (for example, embedded web views), we may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies (including web beacons) for authentication, preferences, and basic analytics/performance measurement.

4) Server-Side Processing (Including Optional Automated Processing)

Some features may require or allow you to upload images and/or text to our own servers for processing (for example, format conversion, resizing, or quality enhancement). If you choose to upload content:

  • Processing occurs on infrastructure controlled by Cadoo Team.
  • We do not share your uploaded images/text with third parties for their own purposes.
  • We do not sell uploaded content.
  • We delete uploaded images/text promptly after processing is completed (generally immediately after output is returned), except where short-lived temporary retention is required for reliability or security.
  • You control whether to upload content by choosing to use server-side features and managing permissions.

We do not use your photos for biometric purposes, and we do not use your images or outputs for advertising targeting.

5) How We Use Information

  • Provide and maintain the Services
  • Personalize your experience (preferences and settings)
  • Improve performance, reliability, and features
  • Security, fraud prevention, and abuse detection
  • Customer support and communications
  • Compliance with legal obligations and enforcement of terms

We do not sell personal information.

6) How We Share Information

  • With your consent or at your direction
  • With entrusted processors/service providers under contract, limited to the minimum necessary (e.g., hosting, analytics, crash reporting, support tooling)
  • For legal reasons, or to protect rights, safety, and security

7) International Transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent mechanisms.

8) Security

  • Encryption in transit and, where appropriate, encryption at rest
  • Access controls and least-privilege principles
  • Regular reviews/audits of security practices
  • Backups and recovery procedures

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9) Data Retention

  • Account data: retained while your account is active
  • Account deletion: delete or anonymize within 30 days (subject to legal/security needs)
  • Usage analytics: up to 12 months
  • Support content: up to 6 months
  • Uploads for processing: deleted promptly after processing completes

10) Your Rights and Choices

11) Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised "Last Updated" date.

12) Governing Law and Dispute Resolution (Binding Arbitration)

This Policy is governed by the laws of our principal place of business, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Policy or the Services will be resolved by binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
